after having been active in Shipping since January, 1988, whereof the last 17 years as Shipsale & -purchase broker (12 years with Frachtcontor Junge & Co. and 4,5 years with Andreas J. Zachariassen) Mr. Gert-Christian Gosch found the timing was right for a further step: - sailing under his own flag - Go.Shipping GmbH & Co. KG was founded.
Mr. Gosch achieved the position of a “Most-Trusted-Broker” of some of the leading shipowners (national and international) during the recent years. Building on this reputation Mr. Gosch does act extensively on his own initiative: Contracts are regularly being concluded “off the market” dictating the need for total discretion and where necessary resulting in the consequence that Mr. Gosch is the solely involved broker acting for respective principals. This approach has proved successful during the past 20 years and shall consequently be further followed and cultivated. The company does not carry out “a bit for all and everybody”, instead we accomplish “all for the selected few”.
Sale and Purchase
Headquartered in Hamburg, we have acted as Shipbrokers extensively over the years in a variety of Sale and Purchase transactions, serving a broad spectrum of Clients, Private Family Enterprises as well as Publicly Listed Entities worldwide. Without exception we place a high value on the importance of discretion and our ability to work independently to meet the demands of our Clients, some of whom we have served for over 20 years. Our principle activities relate to commercial shipping - Bulk carriers, Tankers, Containervessels and Heavylift Types. We are dedicated to our Clients` requirements and give support in other specialist fields including areas such as Contracting of Shipnewbuildings as well as Mediation and Arbitration. In our capacity as Brokers we have orchestrated innovative joint ventures, bareboat lease structures and long term charters in combination with and in support of the acquisition of all forms of commercial vessels.
With our focus directed towards arranging and fixing period employment contracts we currently have over 40 years of Time Charters in our books which are spread across the Dry Cargo market, from Multipurpose/ Specialist vessels capable of self-lifting loads of upto 900 tons, to Handy-size Bulkcarriers and Supramaxes.
